Rewarding Value

If real value were to be recognized, acknowledged and rewarded, we would be living in a far more meaningful and sustainable environment. Real value refers to the meaningful products of sustained effort which has been expended in making our collective environment a better place to live in.

At the individual level, real value is derived from living truthfully - appeasing your own unique needs and aspirations and not the expectations of the collective, media-driven norm. Enhancing individual value is also about maintaing emotional and physical wellbeing. This requires that we engage these aspects in ourselves on a regular basis and modify our approaches as is required from time to time. It is important therefore to remain informed of new developments in the spheres of physical and mental health.

At the collective group level, real value is derived from caring for and nurturing family, friends and the community at large. While the priority is nurturing self and one's own, empathy and compassion for the greater community creates a more cohesive and supportive environment which greatly enhances meaningful living.

In the work environment, while accepting that efficient delivery is the cornerstone of successful business, acknowledgement of the workers as people with all the needs associated with the human condition makes for a more productive work force. In addition, if mechanisms are made available to allow employees to contribute individual input into the work environment, productivity and efficiency would increase exponentially as real value is derived from the in-house human resource potential. In this way real value is acknowledged and rewarded at all levels of service provision, up to the finished product. Ultimately profits are increased and the overall value of the company is enhanced through a win-win relationship at multiple levels.
